THUNDER BAY, ON (November 22, 2024) – Drawing on ORIGIN’s expertise in cultural education and workforce development, this course highlights the enduring relevance of traditional Indigenous teachings in today’s world. The IL7 Ethics course empowers learners with practical knowledge, integrating cultural wisdom into everyday life.

With a structured, culturally grounded approach, IL7 immerses users in the Seven Sacred Teachings, promoting a deep understanding of Indigenous philosophies and ethics. The course explores the history of these teachings, associated animal symbols, Ojibwe translations, and connects them to core work ethics, offering a comprehensive learning experience.

Designed for job seekers, students, and professionals alike, the IL7 Ethics course enables learners to apply traditional teachings in their personal and professional lives. Available both online and as a workshop, the course is accessible to a wide audience.

During the Maamooshkawin event, ORIGIN will honour Knowledge Keepers from across Canada who have been instrumental in shaping the success of ImmersiveLink Cultural. Their contributions have laid the groundwork for these impactful programs to continue growing.

Melissa Hardy-Giles, CEO of ORIGIN, shares: “This course was developed in response to a need for an educational tool that not only teaches but empowers individuals to apply these teachings to walk the good path. Supporting cultural connection has always been at the core of our mission. We’ve seen firsthand the difference a strong cultural foundation makes for job seekers and students in achieving their goals. The IL7 Ethics course bridges the gap between workplace expectations and the core values that guide our lives.”

This course marks a significant step forward in integrating Indigenous perspectives into education, bringing traditional knowledge into modern learning spaces.
